What I am About

All things political, especially government waste and the manipulation of information. Plus a few random rants and information about the end of civilization.

NBN Poll Results

The results of my NBN poll are in

60% Against
20% For
20% Undecided

So the majority of people still don't want an NBN.  At an estimated cost of $55,000,000,00,0 or about $5000 per household, who would.

Is downloading movies faster really worth $5000, and that's before the higher costs of Internet access.  Personally I don't think so, and I think companies will face an uphill battle getting people to sign up. That is until we are forced to switch over, which will occur.

Plus the man heading up NBN, Mike Quigley, was the former head of Alcatel when it was fined $135,000,000 for paying bribes.  Of course Mike knew nothing about these bribes.  Even after they had been exposed and continued to occur he didn't know about it.  So either he is a liar, or he shouldn't be heading up any company if he doesn't know what is going on.
